If you are having trouble paying your electric bill, we have a number of options for you. These programs help Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) meet state-mandated expenditures of Public Purpose funds.

We understand that during these difficult times, some of our customers may find it challenging to pay their electric bill. Learn about AMP's Energy Assistance and Project EASE programs.

Financial Assistance: Project EASE
AMP's Project EASE (Energy Assistance through Supportive Efforts) provides short-term emergency assistance to residential customers who are unable to pay their electric bill and are at risk of having their power turned off.

Financial Assistance: EAP
Alameda Municipal Power's (AMP) Energy Assistance Program (EAP) offers our eligible residential low-income customers a 25% discount on their monthly energy costs.

EAP Plus
AMP is offering FREE home energy upgrades to customers enrolled in its Energy Assistance Program.

Medical Discount Program
To reduce the impact of higher electricity costs resulting from operating critical health maintenance equipment, Alameda Municipal Power offers a 10% medical discount (not including state or local taxes).

Third-Party Notification
If you care for a friend or relative who could possibly overlook paying his or her AMP bill because of illness, financial difficulties, or other issues, Alameda Municipal Power's Third-Party Notification Program can offer some assistance.

HEAP is a federally-funded program to help low-income households pay their energy bills.
