Building Electrification Technical Assistance


Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) has partnered with the Association for Energy Affordability (AEA) to offer technical assistance program that supports non-profits in completing electrification projects.

The program provides expert guidance on designing and implementing electrification measures, focusing on enhancing building performance, reducing operating costs, and meeting sustainability goals. AEA’s team delivers tailored solutions to help navigate incentives and optimize energy systems for long-term savings.

Participants will receive:

  • Project screening and feasibility assessments
  • Cost, savings analysis, and energy modeling
  • Scope of work development and contractor procurement assistance
  • Contractor bid evaluation and technical support during construction
  • Post-installation quality assurance and control

Eligible participants must be:

  • a local 501(c)3 non-profit 
  • operate within the City of Alameda and focus their efforts on supporting City of Alameda communities
  • community-focused and non-political, such as those that are not political action committees, trade associations, government entities, or political candidates
