AMP Restores Power in 30 Minutes

Alameda, Calif.,October 20, 2009 - Electric service to approximately 5,000 Bay Farm Island customers was interrupted briefly this afternoon.

The outage began shortly after 3:00 p.m. and affected customers along Harbor Bay Parkway and most residential customers between Mecartney Road and Harbor Bay Parkway.

Alameda Municipal Power crews performed a safety check and switched to alternate circuitry to restore power within 30 minutes. The cause of the incident is under investigation.
