AMP Seeks Applicants for Underground Utilities District Nomination Boad

Alameda, Calif.- Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) is soliciting applications for its Underground Utilities District (UUD) Nomination Board. This Board will be responsible for recommending a set of districts where, through a long-term multi-year project, AMP’s overhead electric facilities will be placed underground in Alameda.

The UUD Nomination Board will be composed of up to three members of the public in addition to City staff. Applicants must be customers served by AMP. Once they are appointed by the City Council, the board will serve until the recommendations it makes for districts have been accepted by a technical advisory committee, which is estimated to take three to six months.

For more information or to download the application, please visit the Alameda Municipal Power website. Interested persons are encouraged to submit an application by October 1, 2015.
