AMP Offers Cash Rebates for Electric Vehicle Chargers
ALAMEDA, CA – Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) has launched a new program that provides local residents, businesses and public agencies with substantial rebates on electric vehicle chargers. Residents can apply for a rebate of up to $500 for a Level 2 home electric vehicle charger. Non-residential applicants will be eligible for a rebate of up to $3,000 on Level 2 chargers for the workplace or for their customers. “In addition to our current electric vehicle discount program, we are excited to provide this new incentive to support customers who want to drive electric in the future,” AMP General Manager Nico Procos said. “Transitioning from gas to electric vehicles is a key way that our community can fight climate change.” The rebate applies to purchases of Level 2 chargers dating back to October 16, 2017. AMP is funding the rebates with California low carbon fuel standard credit (LCFS) funds. Learn more at the Alameda Municipal Power Rebates website.
