Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) offers rebates to help your business replace old heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC) systems with new, high-efficiency units. Installing an efficient system can save you up to 35% in system energy costs. Non-residential customers are eligible for a rebate up to $50,000 when replacing a natural gas HVAC system with a heat pump heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HPHVAC) system.

Program Requirements
- Pre-approval and post-inspection is required
- Must be replacing natural gas space-heating equipment with electric heat pump equipment
- Heat pumps that meet minimum Title 24 efficiencies qualify (all projects must be Title 24 compliant)
- Gas heating equipment must be fully removed (no redundancy or emergency back-up systems allowed)
- Rebate cannot exceed 50% of eligible costs per incentive rate category or $50,000 per application
Eligibility
- All non-residential AMP customers are eligible to apply.
- To qualify for an AMP rebate you must have approval from AMP before you start the project
- Only one rebate application per site
- System is defined as a single, connected HVAC network and is not influenced by the number of heating/cooling elements it contains.
- Site is defined as an address (or combination of collective addresses) that is owned and/or operated by a single AMP customer
- All equipment must be new; used or rebuilt equipment is ineligible
- AMP reserves the right to withhold funding for projects that do not meet technical requirements
- Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted
- AMP reserves the right to modify or discontinue this program without prior notice at its discretion
