Rebate Levels

Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) has offered $4.2 million in rebates over 10 years, from 2008 through 2017, in support of customers installing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems that have met AMP’s engineering criteria for system interconnection.

  • Residential, commercial, and governmental projects with a system-rated capacity smaller than 50 kilowatts (kW CEC-AC) were eligible for an upfront rebate based on the system rated capacity.
  • Non-residential projects with a system rated capacity greater than or equal to 50 kilowatts are eligible for a performance-based incentive (PBI), paid quarterly over 5 years, that is dependent on the actual output of the system.
  • All residential rebates have been reserved.
  • Only limited upfront rebates at $1.46/watt and PBI rebates at $0.17/kWh remain available for commerical and municipal customers
  • The table below lists the rebate level for the upfront rebate and PBI for each year remaining in the program.
